Preschool Years
We offer a 3 year curriculum for Preschool which starts from 3 years of age.We focus on addressing emotional, social, physical and cognitive developmental areas. Placement is based on the childs age as at 30 June that year.
Our Classes
1 - 3 year old Class
The ‘Playgroup’ is our Day care/nursery programme which caters for children from 12 months to 2.5 years. We use a Learn through Play approach and focus on language ,social and emotional development. We also potty train at this age.
The Tinkerers: 3 - 4 year olds
This the first year of the 3 year programme.
The Inventors: 4 - 5 year olds:
This is the second year of Preschool,
The Adventurers: 5 - 6 year olds
This is the final year of Preschool (Reception) where school readiness is factored in.
SPED 1 & 2
Our SPED classes are divided based on each childs mental age and the challenges they have.Each child gets assessed to ascertain where intervention is needed and the parents, class teacher and SPED Director set goals that help us to produce an Individual Education Plan (IEP) which is evaluated fortnightly.
Standard 1 - 4 Classes
Our Standard 1 - 4 classes have a low teacher pupil ratio to ensure that our children get sufficient attention. Due to the different abilities that we have, our children are self paced and our specialised teachers use differentiated instruction to cater for these differences.
